I got your UBB message, but you didn't leave me an email address to reply to you
Basically, I have had to do nothing special to any of the ECS motherboards I have installed lately, and they all run clean and stable. They're not the best overclockers, but how much can you overclock a Tbird 1.4Ghz anyways?
Mine is a Tbird 1.3Ghz/266 on the ECS K7VZA with standard SDRAM memory and the VIA chipset. The only thing I did beyond install it, was to make sure I had the latest version of the VIA 4 in 1 drivers, and make sure I wasn't sharing any interupts (IRQ's). The only time I've had it croak on me was when I tried to overclock it.
The most recent one I did, was a buddy that bought the Tbird 1.4Ghz/266 with the ECS board that supports both SDRAM and DDR, with the SiS chipset (don't remember the model number on it, I can find out if your interested). The reviews I had read recommend the ECS board with the SiS chipset over the (basically the same) ECS board that has the Ali Chipset. With his we loaded Win2K and it hasn't crashed in the past 2 weeks of use.
