Wirberlwind - from a different perspective
« on: September 18, 2009, 07:28:01 PM »
it may..as some here say....be more "realistic" and less of a one sided threat......but at what cost?

I'm quite sure a lot of noobs .... including myself....had more fun in a wirb than in anything else during their 2 week free look......it was certainly one of the only things I was able to register kills in.... thusly.......I tend to think this new "fix" will do a lot more harm than good......when it comes to turning the curious two week free look people........... into paying customers.

LOL!  See what I mean about the humor factor of your whines about the changes to the flak panzie?

You don't like the changes because you no longer will be able to score easy kills and you might have to actually work for them using some tactics and a little bit of team work.

You think this change is bad for game play?  Reality is that your type of game mentality is what is bad for game play, not the changes to the flak panzie's turret rotation speed.

A graph with nothing to do with anything...................  LOL.

Not to mention the fact that "new" 2-weeker's won't ever have known what they were missing and thus...... It is no factor.

Not to mention the Wirble, as cute for bad pilots as it may be, is still a gv and people searching and finding this game........ Are looking to fly.

Aces High..... Appeals to folks who want to fly WWII cartoon aircraft. Most will not see a wirb or know what it is for quite some time.

Remember your posting with Hind Sight... New Customers will have no idea the wirble had a faster turret.... which pretty much negates your idea here.

your thinking is flawed.

do you work for the govt?  or is it just that I understand business and marketing so much better than you?

I'm constantly seeing things sailing over your noggin on this board.

re-read.

re-try.

If you actually believe that changing the turret rotation speed on the flak panzie is going to turn away new customers and not subscribe after the free trial, its not me that doesn't have a grasp on things.

And then there is the fact that its the same for everyone. The turret spins the same for everyone.

The last few months will do nothing but bring new people in. The game looks great, plays great, and is just getting better and better. Its just plain silly to say the new WW turret speeds will "turn away customers".

I was in a WW last night. Working the gun the way it should be worked shows very little was changed. Its still a great flak gun.

i ask you this with all due respect, and no disrespect is intended whatsoever.........

you say it was the only thing you could register kills in?

to most, the wirbel took nothing more than point and click, although i couldn't hit anything in it, unless i got lucky.

but to my question? did you try to learn other vehicles, or aircraft? a LOT of us went for a mighty long time with no kills, trying to learn.
heck.....i was happy to just last more than 30 seconds in a fight for the longest time.

as for paying customers, i don't think making the wirbel more accurate will hurt them much, if at all.

perhaps you should make them an offer then?
