It depends on the style of fight.  In a mixed-plane, low-alt, scrappy fight, I very much like the A-20 and Il-2.  Both are very, very sturdy, turn decently (maybe better than the FW 190), and have strong firepower that enables kills with a snapshot.  In that style of fight, I probably would feel more comfortable in an A-20 or Il-2 than a FW 190.  For example, when I take off from an airfield that is getting swarmed by enemy fighters, I choose the A-20 and Il-2 over any other planes.  That's just my opinion, though.  I'm not saying everyone has to feel that way.

Anyway, if you think the German plane set is better -- no problem -- just join the German side.  Nothing wrong with that.  There are two sides and planes for every preference.

I have been trying to register on the AHevents.org site but for some reason I am unable to register with the site.  :cry I would like to participate if this issue could be resolved. Thanks for any help . P.S. would like to be on the allies side if possible. :salute

Will need more info than "it didn't work" in order to help you. Your best bet would be contacting ForHIM, who is the site's admin.

  Check your spam/junk folder in your email or try another email.  Sometimes AHevents.org gets listed as "junk" or completely rejected by some email hosting companies.  It's been a long time since I've registered, but I think it needs to send you an activation email.  "forhim" is the guy on this forum to contact when having issues with ahevents.org website.  Get it done oso.   :salute

Send a PM to "forHIM" telling him what you did and what happened.  For example, you filled in the registration page and clicked the "register" button, then X happened.  Let forHIM know, and he'll either get you set up or tell you whom to get in touch with.

i am interested but not sure i could make all the frames, i am usually on a every other weekend availability for saturday afternoons ...

i love the events, i don't want to take a ride from someone who can be there every frame, otoh i do want to fly ...

is there a way you guys handle these situations?
