I will just have to kill the extra 20 or 30 german planes single handed.   :D

Bruv, you are going down.  No mercy will be shown to Bolsheviks!  You will be made an example of soon enough.  All the European AH players can not help you.  For you comrade, death will be slow.  We will defeat you, then we will end you.  Our grandchildren will tell stories of our glory and the end of Bolshevism!  Victory over your RED army will come at last!

Each side has 7 fighter squadrons of 12 planes each.

Each side has 3 attack squadrons (2 IL2s, 1 A20G for allies, 2 190f8, 1 110G for axis) and allies have 2 squads of b25s to the axis 1 squad of ju88s, but the ju88s carry 2x the ord, so the payloads even out overall.

It's quite balanced. I fail to see this "scripted victory" and most other folks that have looked at it seem to think it's quite interesting.

I just wanted to provide a "different" (*cough*fair?*cough*) opinion for any others reading this thread. Definitely check out the rules and make up your own mind!

As for GV vs GV, it's not the end-all, be-all of scoring. There are limited GV players and they have limited objectives. Heck, Stalin's Fourth had 20x harder GV objectives than this! And it turned out okay!

Kazaa, if you flew against the Luftwaffe, you wouldn't last 1 frame.  This scenario takes more than individual skill to succeed, a lesson your squadmates will be taught.  It takes more than a "few" to achieve victory.

Darn good question.  I would love the PE-2 as well.  They have been working on quite a lot creating a solid base.  I hope we will see a bunch of new planes one of these days.  I know we are running out of skins to do!

January 1945.  Even the Russians had retired it by then.. at least on the front line.

F8 or 110  without bombs == fighter
IL2 or A20G without bombs == bomber

IL2 vs F8 who will survive ? ,same question for 110 vs A20

According to the oob there is one single B25 squad with 8 pilots vs 1 squad of ju88 with 12 pilots ?

That's the spirit  :aok

Sorry to see you go straffo, I would have much liked to have you in our team. Please reconsider your decision. As for the bomber numbers, we have 16 x B-25s and 8x A-20s while the Krauts have 8x Ju88s.

I know the overall force ratios are about 1:1 and it makes the attackers job a bit hard, but what it means is that ultimately it is the piloting skill which will decide who is victorious. 1:1 force ratio also means that there will be plenty of german iron to shoot at! What fun would it be if we would have 500 players against their 150 or so? Only few people would ever see the enemy and the rest none.

I play this game to fight against human opponents, not to fly alone in the skies or bombing some undefended ground targets. Plenty of other sims around to do that.

Everyone, we have plenty of player spots still available in the Soviet side, please don't hesitate to register! All rides are still available - that means T-34s, Sherman VCs, La-7s, La-5s, Yak9s, P-39s, IL-2s, A-20s, B-25c and so on.
 :aok

edit: lol, i counted the b-25s wrong :)
