I always play with maxed settings and its really unfortunate if others are getting an advantage with lower settings.  I hope that if this is the case it will be addressed.

if its a settings issue which you could do yourself then this is hardly an unfair advantage........... change your settings

I refuse to modify video settings to get an advantage that was not intended, while it isnt cheating or hacking, it is definatly an unfair advantage.
Being able to see vehicle effects beyond your ground visual range is something that needs to be fixed, and the fix shouldnt be to tell GVers to lower their graphics settings if they want it fair.

Here is a simple solution to the situation. Anytime you have something like being shot thru trees, ghost kills or major warpage from some one, post a film of it so we have a reference. Csuse right now it is a he said she said situation. I'm sorrƯ to put it that that way but....
Also like guncrasher says, I usually up a hvy 110 for repelling gv's

I believe this issue has been fixed a while ago.  He must have gotta a good line on you through the trees.  I have done it, and others have done it to me.  Nothing really needs to be fixed other than letting you know that a stationary target eventually will be a dead target.

It's all where your sitting, imagine you park under a tree and see a guy 3,000 yards away in an open field.  When you fire your below the tree line so your round goes out and finds its target.  When that same guy returns fire the arc of his round is going fall into the impenetrable trees.  It's all about creeping forward or back till you get that magic angle.  Gv's are finicky, there fun but can be pretty frustrating.

And those guys that don't have good graphic cards are prolly more frustrated by hitting an "Invisible tree" than you are by getting shot through one once in a while.  I had bad graphics before the update and I hit invisible barns, trees, barney, who knows what it was but it sucked.

The moral of the story is it's an inconsistent game and you gotta roll with the punches :joystick:

Adjusting vis ranges has nothing to do with a shell going threw a tree.

I have been GVing awhile now and I know that its possible to shoot through trees, but when it comes to 2 or 3 sections of forest and have rounds following you no matter where you hide behind the forests is fishy.
Belial I understand what your saying but in the cases im talking about, im the one behind the trees so that their arc will impact the tree...in the past they would explode harmlessly...now they go through and explode harmfully...

I will start gathering film, I'm at work now so I dont remember if I already saved some.

It's actually easy to hit someone behind a tree.  Not always, mind you, but alot of times when someone doesn't have a shot on you, and they think you don't have a shot on them.  All you have to do is find that sweet spot.
Amazing you could actually recruit that much suck into one squad.

i have been shot thru trees in last couple of days, and I have seen guys get shot thru trees.  happens when people lower their resolution. when that happens to me I up an il2 and go kill the offender  :D.  and eye for an eye.   :devil.  dont think lowering your resolution is cheating anymore than using trackir.  and  since i refuse to lower the resolution on my vc ( i didnt spend ten's of dollars to upgrade, just to play with lower graphics  :rofl) I'll just keep upping il2's see who gets tired first  : :airplane:.
