I love driving a dragster, its so easy to judge the finish line, put .011 at the strip against a door car last week.
Only bad parts, hardly no burnout and the thing drives itself, point N go. This from a big block chevy equipped 5.90/9.40 second door car with 99" wheel base, now that was squirrelly!
Sounds like you have a sweet ride, love the Camaro body, hate to work on them tho...
Strip
see......
we never EVER worked on that car at the track. we took what we got in our time runs. we used to get fairly amused, watching guys, wrenching like mad to make their car run a 10.0, "because it did last week". they seemed to forget that the density altititude was higher this week, than last. or that it was more humid. or any other number of factors.
we spend our days working on cars, we go there to relax, have fun, and chill out. we'd take the trunk lid off to fill the fuel cell, or charge the battery. but as for the engine? everythign was checked before we loaded her up on the trailer.
you'd be kinda surprised at how many people were wasting a LOT of effort being pissed at us, because we didn't work on the car....and we could put it within a couple thousandths of our dial at will.
this is the camaro i'm talking about.
