Congrats all for making it into AH's premier (sp? oh well... ) bomber squad!
You know what really bugs me. When guys fly 75-100 miles just to try and catch a couple bombers while they try to land. Luckily I got an opportunity to do something about it. An Me-262 comes into the 91st as they were trying to land. He picked off two bombers and claimed his third from ttflier, luckily ttflier managed to inflict some major damage to him, he retreated north leaking fuel and oil. I quickly nixed my 51 and lifted from a more Northern field in my own 262. I flew directly to where I hoped he was going. Arriving at the field, I see a small dot with a black smoke trailing from it on it's short final to land.(Image removed from quote.)I nosed down, with no regard for my own plane, I wasn't going to let this guy land his kills. Here I spray a burst as his plane screeches to a halt.(Image removed from quote.)I connect! His speed reads 0 mph at this point, I didn't have a second to spare.(Image removed from quote.)Boom!(Image removed from quote.)My 600mph+ plane didn't quite survive the meeting with the runway, but it was absolutely worth the loss. <S>
