P47M Skin Ideas

After briefly digging around on the internet, I found three pictures that are P47Ms and were exclusively flown by the 56th FG. Enjoy!

Those are actually the only three choices you have as each individual squadron was painted in one of those schemes.

So, other than nose art, I guess there will only be three P-47M skins.

Starting work on P-47M-1 44-21112 coded UN-Z  flown by Maj. Bostwick CO of the 63nd FS.

(And that profile above is not a good copy)

Just FYI:

The 56th FG were the only unit to fly the P-47M IIRC.

Oh yeah.. I am going to like this plane, couple hours work.  I will finish it up and submitt it early next week.

Bet we can fill it up, unlike the TA-152.  Of course alot of people spoke up for TA-152 skins over a year ago and so far no one else has done any.   :rolleyes:

Agreed.  I've probably seen more color photos of P-47M's than any other jug.  Not to mention that by this point in the war, the 56th FG was getting tons of press back in the states.  A lot of these aircraft are pretty well documented.  Sure, a lot of them will look similar since there's only 3 basic paint schemes, but, the slots will fill, and fill quickly.
