Kills/Assists not registering
« on: October 08, 2009, 10:34:50 PM »
Obvious kills and assists are leaving no message when the enemy dies...and sometimes kills are given as if they were under proxy rules.  I'll kill a plane and he crashed into the ground near someone else and that other person gets the kill and I get no kill message or assist.

Yep, same here. I'm guessing it is some kind of bug in the system that interprets if the damage is enough to bring the plane down or not. Killed couple blew wings off of couple perfecly flyable P-47Ms and didn't get an assist or kill. I didkill one SpitV with a 262 which most probabaly was totally undamaged but obviously I cannot be sure (He was flying lufberrys just of hs own field with gear down at 100mph at the time). So, hard to say for sure.

BTW, the bug occurs if you take out a critical component in one shot or even a very quick burst of hits so this was more prevalent in planes with bigger guns.

Ahh, that 'splains it. This AM I was in on a KI84 and peppered him with .303's but didn't bring him down, or even visibly even hurt him. One of my squaddies then blew him up with cannonfire at close range. I got the kill, he got nothing.

Then, 'bout an hour later, I saddled up on a P47M that didn't know I was there as he was focused on another friendly whom I'm not sure had even fired his guns. I got right in within 200 on his 6 and NUKED him with 20mm. Instant fireball and falling parts. No assist or kill for me.   :cry

Thanks!

Well, that really is inline with my experiences with the 262 and Il-2.

Bad guess on my part then. :)
