Windowed mode
« on: October 13, 2009, 08:29:59 PM »
I know it was asked for a while back, thought I would revisit it. Would be a handy ability to have to switch Ts servers ect. Tabbing out works fine on my main rig, but   takes    forever...to      reload on my other. I assume others may have the same issue.

Anywho, just throwing it out there.

Wouldn't mind seeing this, I think the main issue with it was Direct X's performance in windowed mode suffered pretty heavily. Don't know if that still exists or not though.

That would be neat for those that have the horsepower to run it.  My machine is pretty maxed out just flying AH.  If I have something else to do while flying, I break out the notebook.

With the current base code, I'm not sure it can be implemented. It seems like (to a very semi-trained eye) the game is running in a pseudo-windowed mode that's stretched to fit the screen, meaning an actual windowed mode will screw with the FOV. Now that we have the ability to change the FOV that may no longer be an issue. Or maybe I'm entirely wrong. :D
