Ok, I opened up the throttle and had a look. I never would have guessed that the electronic guts are all located in the handle, but I guess in retrospect it makes perfect sense.
There is a board maybe three inches long or so in the handle that has a large asic plugged into a socket, and two smaller asics soldered to the board. There's also an electrolytic capacitor and bunch of the small resistors of the type that are made for manufacturing circuit boards. There are plastic sockets into which wires are plugged, coming from the buttons and other controls in the handle.
I believe it is this board with the three asics that got zapped in my throttle. Replacing that board would probably get me back up and running.
It's hard to imagine that you'd have one of these left, Delirium, but it's worth a shot: is this one of the boards you have lying around?
I lost a couple of eBay auctions yesterday for a throttle and pedals. Didn't see a Combatstick auction. I'm very much contrained in how much I can get away with spending to get my controls situation sorted out, but I'll keep trying.
I did the beta frame for the latest scenario last saturday using my ancient MS Sidewinder joystick that I gave up for my CH controls over three years ago, and it really, really, really, really sucked. Arg.
