I was thinking the exact same thing.  I forgot just how primative the VH's looked back then.  I do miss the squid though  :salute

Hmmm...very cool...ya know, reverting the small airfields to dirt or grass runways with the small shack tower would be cool.

Here's a download of Aces High I. Has a few MA maps and I think Mitsu's Soundpack installed. Unzip and play, offline only...though LAN MIGHT work...

Funny.

My graphics don't look like that.

Most of us can't even turn all that stuff on much less play with it on.

Now turn off the detailed terrain and fancy water graphics, shadows and the hi res textures and turn off anti aliasing and show them side by side again as most of us see it.

Thats not the point of the post. He was merely demonstrating the differences between what we had then and what we have now. My system is far from top of the line, and i can play with all the effects turned on. HTC has done a good job in making the new graphics engine playable on all manners of systems. Its not their fault that you are unable or unwilling to get a better computer. If you want the fancy graphics, Pay for them.

Ranger, you oughtta include inside cockpit views. I remember flying the old modeled B17 with the old standard instrument cluster, and drooling madly when they redid it.

You need to get out of the cockpit more often :D
