Sweet?

How will this damage frame rates?

actually since the buildings take less rendering than trees, it will increase your FPS by a stagering 10%!!   :x

All of those subdivisions hare drivable in GVs?
Will there be vehicle bases to secure these towns?
Are those VBs sneakable?
I know lots of questions.
Looks fantastic, probably a few to many cars in the parking lot for a 1944 city unless you are doing the Boeing plant in Seattle.

What difference does it make, you can't hit anything anyway :old:

But I do enjoy trying!

Not all the city is bomb-able, the city center is, but the surrounding houses are not.
The factory complexes are located on the out side of the city which is about an 8 mile radius.

The change to the strat system will be that on small maps, each country will have 1 city. And it will always efect that country like the system did before the zone changes.

On large maps each country will have 2 city locations, but only 1 will be active. When the front fields are captured the factory complexes and city will be moved back to the rear as Russia did during the war.

Very cool. Will it be tied to a single, or a number of, zone bases, like the current strat system? Lose the base, and the strat toggles to the rear city?

This would be great! Id like to see an addtional city like this put in the tank town maps. For extra immersion, throw in a map room so the countries can compete in capturing it. The captured city can then add benefits (ammo, fuel, troops, ord) to the nearby bases at the tank town island location. Just my two cents.

It shouldn't be a frame rate hitter.  In initial testing it actually runs faster than the standard terrain.  The cost of that speed is that not every building will be an individual bombable object.  Just the factory strat targets.  City strat targets are destroyed in blocks.  The rest is filler designed for speed.

But will still be a 3d object on the ground that has to be driven or flown arround?

that may be so for very high end PCs,but older or lower end ones may take fps loss,i have a terrain ive been working on where i added a huge city like that in tank town
and had to delete most of it cause of the fps loss,i have since upgraded my vid card and havent tried it since then but im guessing that alot of peeps will have a big difference in fps, especially if theres gonna be puffy ack as well.
