It's amazing how many whines are from players about changes. So many whines about filling out the WWII plane set.

If you compare the number of kills in the LW arena for September the most successful aircraft was the P-51D, the least the P-40B. The P-40B had less that 1/2 of 1% the success of the P-51D. Yes I know the reason that it is not as successful so that dog won't hunt. I question the reasoning of the people that demand (and they do demand) filling out the plane set of every plane that flew in WWII before HTC moves on to anything else. Did these guys whine about adding vehicles too?

We've had an real WWII Ace slandered in these forums without any documented proof during the arguements about adding WWI aircraft, folks crying about having vox in WWI planes and various and sundry things.

How many of these people really took the time to think about what is good for the continued growth of this game and how many are just saying I want what I want and I want it now? It doesn't add to gameplay, it doesn't bring in customers, but it makes me happy and pffffffft to the rest of you. Same ones that say I don't care that it costs the same to add an aircraft that won't get flown outside of scenarios as it does to do one that may bring in more people and keep this game growing?

SB

Your misinformed.

I do not know of anyone who has said fill in all the planes for WWII. Folks would like to see some basic ones for use in scenarios and FSO. Currently other planes have to fill the hole which takes away from the immersion that is so important in scenarios and FSO.

You bring up P-40. It has nothing to do with the reason the planes are required.

I've seen discussions about WWI in the boards. The only thing I see close to crying is in your post here.

Continued growth of "this" game is what I want. I'm not personally interested in any new game like WWI, but it is coming. That only causes me concern for this game.

Essentially he's asking for the halt of development on AH2 by saying "if it's not the most used plane in the MA it doesn't deserve enhancement or inclusion in the game" -- a weak attitude from any aspect.

No. That's not what he's asking for. Not even a little bit close. Get a clue.

Nah, we could hand out clue rakes for free and things would still be misunderstood  :lol

Shuffler I didn't whine, merely pointed out that asking for things that don't bring revenue to the company and do cost money to develop will be down the list of things to do for them. Nice dodge on the slandering the WWII ace btw. I do tend to ramble in posts so sue me.

As for the folks that don't know who I am, except for HiTech I've been around Aces High longer than anyone.

Who's to say what will bring better revenue or not between better plane set or another game.

Not really another game... more of a "product extension".

Hey Shuffler, if you're so concerned about what HTC is doing and you're in Texas, why didn't you make it to the con to talk to them face to face?

:D There's a difference between not seeing a point in something and not doing it. Lots of times I'll jump into stuff just out of sheer boredom...like...right now. :lol

What I care about is growth for Aces High Events Community.  So much fun and education is created by so many individuals in the AH Events community, that I respect and appreciate it immensely.  Due to this huge appreciation, I always wish for more attention from HTC to the AH Events Community through the act of adding more planes.  If I vote/voice for more planes that add more support to events, rather than to the MA, so be it.  That's my one and only vote.  If other players feel the same way, they can do the same.  The AH events community is EXTREMELY appreciative to HTC.  The AH Events community will be appreciative to the new WWI planes and will include WWI events as soon as possible.

My concern is that resources will be diverted away from increasing the WWII planeset.  Many of us are patient with the few planes that are added each year.  After 10 years of AH, the WWII planeset is still FAR from complete and requires many of us to use our imagination to make events work.  We are patient, but ignoring us would make us sad.  Again, we are very appreciate of what we have, and maintain high hopes that HTC continues to work hard to add to the WII planeset.

AH Events are where I find the maximum entertainment, education and immersion!  This events community does so much for others, they are already very appreciative, respectful and grateful for HTC.
Time's fun when you're having flies.

Agreed, and thanks for posting that.

Folks just need to calm down a tad on the doom and gloom. HTC brought this game to where it is over the years , and I trust they are doing everything they can to take it further. I'm sure that all the pieces that we see (i.e. New AC, cities, WWI,updates, new graphics ect ect ect) are all part of a plan that none of us here can comprehend with whats going on behind the scenes. And rightfully so, because thats HTC's business. Personally , I'm thankful for the updates and new toys, and look forward to whats next.
