Best War Movies
« on: November 01, 2009, 10:55:14 AM »
Anyone have an opinion on some of the best war movies?

My top 5 are:

1.  Band of Brothers
2.  Saving Pvt Ryan
3.  Hell is for Heroes
4.  When Trumpets Fade
5.  12 O'Clock High

Anyone know any good but obscure movies that might we worth a netflix order?

In no special order...
Battle of Britain
Dark Blue World
A Bridge too far
SPR
Das Boot

Just saw Kelly's Heroes. It was better than I recalled.
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

There's something awfully familiar about this thread....

Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

No kidding, we supposed to do this every 3 months now?
