Back in 1996 docdog came by my house and told me about this cool online game called Warbirds. I was sucked in from that moment on. The days of little cardboard squires, rolling dice, and consulting charts were over.
Docdog and I then started the
332nd Flying Mongrels back in Nov. 1997. A couple of years later we moved over to Aces High and it was Ghosth that talked us into that. Turned out to be a wise move as WB has some what shriveled since those days.
Many of us have become life long friends. We have suffered together the losses of friends, parents, and even children. We have helped each other out in times of need way beyond what you might find in most squads. We are a squad where
Men become friends and friends become brothers. To all our non-squad friends online thanks for everything.
The CM team was a lot of work but well worth the years and time I put forth into Snapshots and Squad Operations. Over the years many squadies have worked on the events team. Ghosth was the Setup CM for the first 3 FSO's (Tour of Duty back then), Nifty worked Snapshots and FSO, forHIM hosts and operates the
Aces High Events Site, and Baumer currently is working FSO's. I want to especially thank HTC and their efforts who made this all possible. Every time I attend the Aces High Convention with my squadies everyone at HTC is always friendly and welcoming. You could not ask for a better company to manage your 'hobby'.
