474th FG outbound to escort the bombers during DGS.  My favorite image from that scenario

The 17s we covered looked good against the snow covered ground.

Taxying in after the successful mission looked good too.

And of course the post mission line up

Covering a damaged wingman all the way home on the deck from deep inside Germany.  Formation landing just to make it look good

Headhunter 38Gs of Ken Ladd and Corky Smith on the prowl over New Guiniea

A nice formation of low level B25s being flown by Headhunters out looking for shipping.

And an even better atmospheric image with the ships in the background

Nice pics all  :rock

I really enjoy the formation flying. Gives me something to to enroute and looks fantastic when everyone is on board. Also, when you look out and see two or four enemy a/c in the distance flying a tight formation it makes the heart jump a bit when they turn in to engage. A single you can get away with thinking only one or two moves ahead but a 2ship or more and you had better of eaten your wheaties :t

Hey Jappa, aren't you advertising you're all newbies by flying that skin?

Orange was used for test aircraft and for pilot training squadrons in the Japenese militaries.  :O

I'm not sure you could call this a "formation" but I think it is funny...
