Oookay.

It took me a bit to actually read what Buzard had typed (punctuation, capitalization and paragraphs are your friends :) ). Funny, I saw him CLAIM that another player "cried" like a girl and then come to find out that what happened was the other player simply ragged him mercilessly. From that, it would appear that Buzard is the one that cried like a girl (when he started this thread).

While I do understand the concerns that some express about how newbies are treated, sorry....I really don't agree. While some do take taunts to an abusive level (and this should not be accepted or condoned ), the taunting (smacktalk) has been an integral part of this genre of games since their inception. Twenty years ago, such incidents would be used as motivation to improve your gameplay as a means of retribution. Today, it's the same namby pamby PC crud that is destroying societies...don't hurt anyone's feelings.....at any cost!! (sidebar : saw where a college football coach is being investigated for "verbally abusing" some of his players, I guess next we give DI's a nerf stick to train Marines...sheesh. ) Frankly, most of the nay-sayers I've seen post here, need to grow thicker skins and spend less time playing capture the flag. Instead, the newbie hears, "just keep doing what you are doing", etc. and feels justified.

BTW, Buzard, abusive taunting should be reported to HTC. Bringing it here simply makes you look bad.

As for smack talkers being the "bane of the game", with what passes for good gameplay in AH these days....smack talkers are about all that is entertaining.  :frown:

Well said, too bad the limp wrists that pollute this game will feel offended by it.

10 .50's... will someone  please lend me 4?

I'd own you any day Falconwing.

Hi Ded. :)

See thats the thing Steve...I don't think you would....Your a picker and almost 1/3 of your kills are on buffs you awesome furballer you!!!  (I'm just referencing your avatar)

I can't even remember the last time you ever killed me....could you find that please??? Has it even been in the last year???  If so I don't remember it...The last time I remember you, you were picking a fight with numbers in a base and then ran away once I got coalt....(my apologies to bipolar and grizz for not jumping countries and harrassing him on range...I let the team down that day)

But here's the deal...I know you want to DA me but you don't even peak my curiosity to appease you...there are many pilots out there I would consider worth me spending time in the DA with...folks who might teach me something...but your not even in the top 100....not even close.  Now i'm sorry if this embarrasses you but I've been around since 1996 and I have never had going to the DA prove anything to anybody...its a manboy's response to getting owned on the bbs or the MA...
.

So find me in the MA and kill me...maybe if you fly worth a darn I may get interested in a duel...but I doubt it...

Oh...one other thing...modern Corvettes suck...you might as well save some money and buy a Miata or volkswagon buggy...at least you'll look silly for less money... :x (avatar reference again)

   pissing match
An argument or contest of wills, often mean-spirited and over trivial or insignificant matters. From the alcohol-induced sport of urinating for distance.
A: "What's with the boss?"

B: "Oh, he got into a pissing match with the head of accounting over last month's travel budget."

A: "So why is he still irritated?"

B: "He lost."

Things that deserve degradation
...
6. Thinking that flying to 30k is practical in the MA

Practical means: adapted for actual use. That it is actually in use or happens cannot be denied so your argument is pointless.

However the original statement was an implication that flying higher does not save fuel which is in direct conflict with practical use. Yes it is true that engines do not produce the same power at altitude (without superchargers) and that propellers become less efficient but it is also true that the thinner air results in less drag (about 1/3 at 30k) and that fuel expands with altitude due to pressure effects upon specific volume. So with proper engine management a plane can extend its range significantly and in fact (just as an example) a lancaster can climb to 23k and still have the same range it had when it took off. The assertion that Grizz made was therefore intended ONLY to insult me personally (either that or he has no knowledge of physics which I am inclined to believe anyway) and you insult yourself everytime you post further misinformation attempting only to mislead.

I didn't invite you to the DA.
A: I knew you'd type a litancy of excuses. You didn't disappoint, you actually preemptively wussed out, lol.
B: I go to the DA for fun. Slapping around a skill-less tard like you would not be much fun.

As for the Corvette: I wanted a 10 second coupe, I have one.  In the future, if I want the opinion of some turd who's played a game since 1996 and still sucks at it,  I'll be sure to ask you.

Hold on there! Twice this month I have been at a fight with Steve where the enemy was coming in with more alt over and over and over...  Steve and I were both low except one time when I (not Steve) tried to drag an F4U out from the field (so I climbed to slow down and make myself a more attractive target)... The F4U didnt bite and he died anyway as soon as he tried to pick Steve. Yes there were lots of 'us' and lots of 'them' and Steve did 'pick' the goon I spotted  :D but I dont believe we were above 3k for fifteen minutes at least.

Good times.

Now going after bombers? I cant blame him they are good fun.

I especially enjoyed Part A Stephen.  I know exactly how you feel.
By the way, the V in Steven is a privilege, not a right.   :D
Until proven otherwise (in the DA), you're Stephen from now on.   :aok
