Killshoot command in DA
« on: December 03, 2009, 09:17:39 PM »
This is a duelers wish:

How about a command you can enter in the dueling arena to disable kill shoot in the DA.  2 allies upping at the same base cuts down a ton of travel time.  You can probably get in 3 times as many duels in a session doing this.  Say for example, Grizz and Skyrock want to duel... Grizz types /.killshoot Skyrock, if Skyrock types /.accept Grizz, each player now has the ability to shoot eachother down as allies.

When you duel in the ta, you dont even have to get a new plane after youre shot. Do you have to destroy the other plane to make it a good duel?

Yes, a fight needs resolution.

think what you whant is a command like

.duel skyrock,   then he'll type .accept xxx.

you'll have to do it while in  the tower with the ability to duel more than one player then its a free for all or whatever with no kill shoot. then they become invisible when upping to all the other players except the one's in the duel.  that way nobody will bother them.

semp
you dont want me to ho, dont point your plane at me.

Might not be a bad idea to enable it in the MA during sqweeker season. Be kinder than telling them <alt, F4> or hit <enter> rapidly. I think they would catch on after accepting the dueling request one time. Limit it to one send during each flight to one ID. Not any worse than being spammed with join requests.

Sure, why not but.....

"cuts down a ton of travel time"??  Really?

Take off from the same base and you still have to climb and get separation, don't you?

i say we just eliminate killshot all together.  May keep players from swooping in on a kill.   Cant tell you how many times ive damaged my own plane when i was engaged and another "friendly" tried to swoop in and take the kill.

Actually SR showed me a trick.  You can take off at a base right next to a cliff and drop right off it and be ready to go. :)

Just turn Killshooter off in DA. Makes for less programming. I might even go back in there if you do that.
