357th Dragons are a Fighter Squadron that was part of the 355th FG in WW2
The 357th FG were the Yoxford Boys.
Big difference a Squad vs a Group even though the number is the same. 357th dragons were part of a group. 357th FG Yoxford Boys were made up of 3 squadrons.
I have the 80th Fighter Squadron. There is an 80th Fighter Group. One flew in the PTO the other in the CBI.
Get over yourselves will ya. No on is copying anyone.
any idea when 357th FS started using "Dragons"? I could only find references to 355th FG "Steeple Morden Strafers", perhaps it was a vietnam era nickname?
edit: -=357
FG Yoxford Boys=- already make it clear which
fighter group they represent, how about [357TH]Death Dragons change your name to [357TH
FS]Death Dragons to show which
fighter squadron you represent. would make it crystal clear that the 2 AH squads represent completely different historical units...
