"ahfilm.exe cannot be opened" when downloading latest update....

Help !

Been playing regularly for a while now.
Yesterday for the 1st time I used my AHFILM viewer. I created a shortcut to my desktop.

Today I come to play and the game prompt me to download the latest version.
So I click "yes" and it downloads accordingly 98%
Then the  msg "ahfilm.exe cannot be opened" pops up and I can't complete the download.
Can't access the game !

Got to be something simple that I did wrong when I created some shortcut yesterday.

Anyone can help me ???

Are you sure you created a shortcut and did not drag the application to the desktop?  Right-click on what you think to be a short-cut, select "Properties".  See if it is actually a short-cut or the actual ahfilm.exe file.

Your right.  Its the application.
Where should I restore it?  Where should it be located for the update to properly work ?

ahfilm.exe is installed in the game installation folder.  Default C:\HiTech Creations\Aces High
