Will never happen due to royalty demands by record companies (which would probably double the monthly AH fee).

There is a lot of royalty free music out there but...eh...you wouldn't want to listen to it.

There is a site I really like...lot's of 40's music. http://www.upchucky.com/
http://upchucky.com/music-jukes/40s/player.html
http://upchucky.com/music-jukes/40s-2/jukes.htm

And there are seperate selections for 1941, 1942, all the way to 1949.
Of course, there is music from every year to the 90's

Good place for music to use in films and movies :)

There's nothing like doing 350+ in a dogfight and listening to Beethoven and Mozart.  Those are definetely free of charge to use.  And why not?  If you can turn it off, that's great.  Another great Public Domain dogfight song is
O Fortuna http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrML6s1wNHk

And the rock version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrML6s1wNHk (not sure about the freeness)

mozar is free, but since for some reason he never got around to actually record his music then its lost.  however they people/groups/orchestra/pianist that recorded his music do have a copyright to that specific recording.  so we are back to square one who's gonna spend time to make sure the recording is actually in the public domain.

I listen to Live 365 internet radio. Ill post a link below. Great music. Every possible genre. Try this--- Go to Live365.com, under search type in WWII and bingo up comes a bunch of ( internet ) radio stations that play music from that era. Some even play war news, along with the music.

Just a note if the station says VIP, that means you have to suscribe to it, but many many are absolutly free. Give it a whirl. You may have to sign up for a free membership. You will have do do it on the main menu (HOME). I did and never recd any spam emails and the like.
