Ok, first off, development is back on. The leak was identified... though I am sworn to secrecy; it was part of our financial arrangement.
Alpha testing continues...
I don't like to donate without any rewards (I mean who does that!!).. I'd donate though if...
You are on the right track. No one gets anything for free. For example, without the proper donations, this sim will not come to fruition.
That said, as Ack implied, there is a cross section where the level of "rewards" is measured against the level of financial contribution.
For example, since Karaya has, thus far, been the largest investor, his Spitfire MkI will be equipped not with the eight 0.30 Browning's but, rather, twelve 20mm Hispano's with 650 rounds per gun.
Of course, to be fair, I did need to model the weight penalty.
For my own part, I have created two personal aircraft; the Bf-109R-1 and the FW-190A-27.
The 109R employs the DB60X series engine with a significant MW50 boost (60 minutes WEP) which increases horsepower to 7,500 at all altitudes above 500ft. It also replaces the anemic K4's single 30mm cannon with a combination of five MG151/20's; two in the cowling, one through the hub and one in each wing root (synchronized, of course).
The 190A-27 employs an experimental version of the BMW 801 power plant which will be unknown to those of you without clearance to view the 1946 files on (CLASSIFIED). Essentially, the engine is bored, stroked and boosted to its limits, developing 5,000HP at sea-level; dropping only to 4,500HP at 40,000ft (for fuel efficiency). It also removes the worthless 7.9mm MG's and, of course, the MG/FF's and, in their place, are four MG151/20 mounted in the same fashion as the 109R, save for the hub gun (because, come on, lets be realistic).
As for me; my toe is still swollen and the doctors have removed the top half of my skull. I feel like Ray Liotta having dinner with Hannibal but things seem to be progressing nicely. I appreciate the "get well soon" cards... although... Grizz... please stop sending me naked photos...).
Remember - as any good waiter will tell you - the measure of the person you are is directly correlated with your financial contribution.
