The caps are frustrating.. But they are also necessary.. Read up on it.. I once came on here gripping about it too, only to get smacked around for it.. lol

On the lighter side, if you really want to get into an arena I can only remember one or two occasions that I had to wait more than 15 minutes to get in..

well to those that gave some kind of useful info thanks and to those who just like to get on here and look for confrontation get a life. never knew someone could be given such a hard time when asked a simple (or at least i thought it was simple) question. and as far as only being on one side that isnt the case, ive been to all three meccas and found friends on each but when you are in a squad you usually try to fly with them

My guess is come and cry on the boards some more  :neener:

Because unhappy customers are good for business?

HT, perhaps giving those who wish to enter a capped arena the option to join a waiting list would be less painful than entering then leaving other arenas to reset the count and try again.  It can seem like a retarded version of whack a mole jumping around until you can get in.

Obviously, so they should switch to blue.

People always complain.  Generally speaking, it's best when they complain the least and your core goals are intact.

And what would you do when you arrive with a cap of 400 and the arena is full?

I keep backing out and  retrying till I get in....... never takes more than a few mins.

Its been my experience that I usually only have to wait about 5 minutes or so to get in an arena that is capped.

HiTech

The exact same thing I do now when the arena containing squaddies is full. Log.

Go into the other arena..boost it's number and back out and try again. Usually you dont have to wait long for it to allow you in.

Hmm this thread...  2 complaints out of how many members??

Not much complaint.

Why don't you post how you would suggest they set it up. The current setup was developed over years to the point it is now. Maybe you have a better idea. Just throwing rocks at it won't help unless you have a better setup.

When ever this question about caps comes up thats the question that the crybabies never seem to answer..... "If the caps are hard set to 400 what do you do if your number 401 logging in?"

My guess is come and cry on the boards some more  :neener:
With all due respect Fugi. The OP is my squaddie and we were in discussion on this topic the other night. We can understand why they have a cap. The question here is why is it one second the arena is set at 240/250 then a min later its 235/100. Why not set the arena at a permanent 300,400 or whatever.
Trying to get squaddies together at certain times during the night if you do manage a spot in LWorange lately has been tough. I/we have no issues switching sides/arenas if we wanna fly together or see where the fights at. If we happen to be #401 at a capped 400 arena, I still would be ok with that. Just frustrating when your having fun in a certain area, disco then try to relog only to find out you cant get in.

Because if you set the caps static all the time instead of dynamic, you will end up with numbers like

LWO 400/400
LWB 40/400

which is much worse.
