i have the LG Super multi-blue blueray drive, its a dvd,cd burner and only plays blueray(disks for burning blueray are insanly expensive 16$ or so per disk). I love my drive has lightscribe, can watch blueray(the software sorta sucks that comes with it) but i like it alot. i choose the LG over the lite on cuz the LG was 8X and the liteon is 4X (they advertives it as 8X but its not). The LG also plays my dvd in some really nice quality. The lightscribe is way cool, ill try to get some pictures of the disks ive made, i would do it now but im beat just got done work.

If the current lightscribe technology is anything like it has been...I wouldn't waste the money or effort looking for it. I've had 3 lightscribe enabled drives blow out on me after around 30 label writes...they can still burn CDs but not DVDs...Samsung, Sony, Lite On. Sticking with the multicolored sharpies for now.

That first one you listed TC was on the list I was looking through. Light Scribe has never been a big deal for me either. Always liked the sharpies myself. My son "the artist" use to recreate the album covers on the disks by hand..... it kept him out of trouble   :D

Any other thoughts?

dang that's got sucketh  gyrene........ I have had my ASUS DRW-2014L1T DVD+/- DL RW with Lightscribe burner now since June of 2007........ and she purrs like a cougar..... still going strong

most prob would say this doesn't matter..... but I have always bought Retail versions over OEM versions when it comes to CD ROM, DVD ROM / burners for PC's I put together......  is always nicer to have everything you need when you get ready to install, instead of OEM stuff where you still need to go buy some accessorys perhaps.....

I do use a Memorex DVD/CD Cleaner kit on it every month... just like I use it on my Truck, Entertainment center DVD player, Playstation 3 box.etc........( like checking your oil, or changing the filter in your Home Heat/AC system, or paying the utility bill monthly,  it's on a schedule I have made )

this kit cost more than 2 spindles of 100 DVD-R's,  is not one of those cheap 10 dollar cleaner disc   always liked that saying "Is it live, or is it Memorex?"  :D

my thoughts anyways........
