blue screens, all the time

I've started having major problems with my computer, I'm having blue screens all the time. It got to the point where windows got corrupted and whenever I attempt to repair/reinstall windows, the thing crashes preventing it. I'd post a Dxdiag, but I can't even get the thing to boot now. I did notice on the last attempt to install windows it told the cache failed.

Is my motherboard going belly up?



This is probably a stupid reply but I was getting blue screens daily.  Kappa suggested it might be a heat problem and to get rid of the dust inside the tower.  I haven't had a blue screen since and it was over a week ago.

I just tried re-installing windows again, this is the blue screen error.

A problem has been detected, blah blah blah

I'm also getting 2 beeps than later 1 beep, I researched it and found the beep code pertaining to my MB.

I've already tried reseating the ram but it didn't work. I am noticing that bios is only reporting 4 gig of the 6 gig memory I have.

Anyone else have any suggestions, or should I go pick up some new ram?

Is there a way to test triple channel ram? Can you pull out 1 stick at a time to isolate the problem?

Del, instead of pulling out one stick, just try using one stick......... then insert a second stick, then the 3rd.....

is what I would do.....  the 2 beeps? is ?    the one beep?

I got those beep codes wrote down somewhere....  will post back....

Ahhh edit:  did not notice you found your beep code:

just try 1 RAM DIMM at a time... be my advice.....

Del on your MB the last slot (one away from CPU) is where you place only one stick at a time.

From the diagram, it looks like the opposite, Tildeath.

The diagram reads

CPU       2,1,4,3,6,5.

So I should be using slot #1, first?

Yep, one of the 3 sticks is bad... #3 stick the machine wouldn't even boot up on.

As much as that sucks, I'm actually pleased, it could of been far worse and I might not have discovered what it was at all.
