I want all the funny stuff offered for the F8 in WW2.

R4M rocket, 21cm-Werfer, also the 1000kg bomb and with special features the SD1600 (kg)bomb. Would give us at least a similar JABO as the F6F.

Uhm, I doubt that the standard ETC 501 rack on the Fw 190F-8 was rated for a 1000kg bomb. The confusion probably comes from the fact that the F-8/U1 could carry 1000kg in total: 2x250kg + 1x500kg.

With the special modifications the Fw 190F/G could carry up to a single 1800kg bomb though.  :)

I've read in The Last Year of the Luftwaffe that 190F's attached to Schlachtgeschwader 3 mainly carried 550, 1100 lb (thats pounds not kg) bombs and SD-2, SD-4, SD-10 bomblets.

It also said that they used the 550lb bombs against tanks coming in level 15-30 feet off the deck and release the bomb just as the tank disappeared under the cowel.  Said it was pretty accurate the bombs had a 1 second delay so they could get clear.  I've tried this approach in AH and does not work it's accurate like they say but you cannot gain the required distance to keep the bomb blast from hitting your plane.  However level at a 100 feet use <page up> key so the bottom of the screen is a hair below your artificial horizon release the bomb just as the target disappears below the cowel and you can hit your mark with no damage to yourself.

Never the less it sure would be nice to have some rockets the good ones not the p.o.s. ones.
