Mike Rowe Works
« on: February 06, 2010, 04:46:26 PM »
LOL this guy is seemingly everywhere.

Now he has a website highlighting the trades. And a very nicely done website I might add.

Check it out. Oh and after the page loads and you see the intro video. Just leave it there a min or two.
Mike'll let ya know what you need to do

Pretty sure that was some high school kid in Canada.  Who named his young entrepreneur business "Mike Rowe Soft".  I think it ended up well for both parties.

Edit:  My memory was actually pretty decent this time:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_vs._MikeRoweSoft

I don't watch Dirty Jobs regularly, but I like it when I catch it. Mike is a VERY funny guy.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

Yep it's true. He talked about it in a magazine interview. He said he was operatically trained and stayed with it working 6 months then taking 6 months off. He stayed with it a few years mostly to get laid. Seems there was a shortage of straight guys in the opera circles so the girls weren't really pushed by guys trying to date them.
