Wings of Prey

You all need to down load the demo of wings of prey. Its so life like three ways to platy arcade ,sim, realistic. It has lot more to control like the pitch of prop cowl and more.So those who where lookin for more realistic flight there you go just for those who wanted mirrors they have them to.With the demo you get three missions to try out.Take a look it is well worth it.

Didn't really like WoP much (especially the lighting), but I'll be checking out Storm of War when it comes out.

Even on "realistic" it's a glorified console shooter.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

I beta tested WoP.

The visuals are breathtaking, graphically it's a 10/10, Optimisation is also fantastic, I can run the game completely maxed out with very high FPS. But WoP doesn't hold a candle to AH2's flight model, damage model and overall multiplayer gameplay.

If only Aces High had such eye-candy. :cry

They still haven't fixed the view system after how many months of people moaning?

Glanced at the webpage.  Impressive!  Would be something to have graphics like that in AH!

Too bad the flight model is geared towards console gamers and the best controller setup to use in WoP is a Xbox 360 game controller.

Works fine with G940.... somehow I don't think of it as 360 game controller.

One thing to look out is grotesque protection system. Even though I got it on Steam, for some reason I had to install POS extra program called yuplay.  And after installing it, I was warned that I only had 2 activations left!  bananas!  Also their update system uses torrents...

But game looks outstandingly pretty...

Not saying it doesn't work well with any other controller, just saying that the game is optimized for the Xbox 360 controller.

Looks interesting. Turbulence and changing weather. Artillery.
Cockpit details are astounding

That the game was coded with the Xbox 360 Controller as the primary controller in mind for WoP because the target audience of the game is the console/mass consumer gamer and is more likely to have a game controller than a flightstick joystick.

Actually a big chunk of WoP is from IL2. Easily seen, I would think,....and therefor a lot of similarities exist.  Including joystick requirement. You're welcome to fly with console game controller, which you can do with Aces High / FSX and other flight games, but results will be obvious.
