Things I'd like to see if the roles were available.
P-61, Ju-88G-6, or any other equipped night fighter.
PBY, He-115, Sunderland, Emily, Mavis, for SAR water.
L-4, Fi-156, Auster AOP, for SAR land, or artillery spotting (which would require artillery, of course)
Any high speed recon aircraft with the ability to mark targets on the country map. A PBY finds an enemy CV, so long as that PBY stays in visual range of the CV, it appears on that country's map for all to see.
A new form of Task Group, a CVE with a couple of DEs and perhaps some LSTs (MKII or III) to be able to deliver tanks to the shore instead of relying on LVTs. This would, perhaps, entice ppl to preserve their CV groups in the interests of keeping an invasion force alive long enough to be effective.
GVs - a simple turret-relation-to-hull guage to indicate the turret position relative to the hull.
A slew of new GVs - there's too many to mention that haven't already been mentioned in other threads.
