They will use it. Hell, I'll bet at alt w/o external bombs it's up there with my 234. But then again, w/o external bombs it only has 1K of ord...

well ... B Mk XVI is the obvious choice, over 1200 produced, more than double the number of all the other bomber variants combined.

formations? yes of course! bombers in AH have formations. and although the most famous raids were in the weeds precision runs, afaik squadron strength, high alt, long range area bombing was widely used.

How much would that reduce it's speed at alt compared to the 234?

It's a pesepex (spelling?) dome. Found on many planes. The nagivator could stick his head in it for a look around, or I assume use navigation tools for tracking the sun, moon, stars, etc. Our B-17 also has one right in front of the cockpit in-game.

OK, thx for clearing that one.  I was lost when i saw that and want to make sure that it was not a gun turret there.

Should be about the same, the 'cookie' is internal.

Is the pistol looking device behind the pilot at :02 a flare pistol?
Ho's are like Speedos.

That is one of few things i was thinking. but from what krusty said:

I read somewhere that during testing of one of the B Mks they used ballast instead of a bombload in the bay, the mossie took off and performed as expected, but when they checked the ballast on landing they realised they had loaded over 10,000lb by mistake :lol

We have the FB mk VI in the game, a fighter/bomber version.  The above photo is a B mk XVI, but I'm thinking we would get the B MK IX instead.  But.......  What do we get for a bomber version?  The field mod of carrying 4000lbs?

How about we forget the B versions and go with a FB mk XVIII!!!  Bring me the 6 pound gun!  (57mm anti tank)

MORE MOSSIES!!!!

Why would we get the Mk IX?  It was an intrim model and very few were produced.  The obvious additional models are the B.Mk IV and B.Mk XVI.  All B.Mk XVI's came from the factory equipped for the 'cookie'.
