So, the other day I was googling around, and found the guy who flew the number 3 plane in VF-17 during WW2, Lt. JG Jim "Big Jim" Streig.

Here's "Big Jim" by his bird






I thought possibly changing my name to something like BigJim3 would pay a sort of homage to him. Wulf has left the building, BigJim3 has arrived  :aok

You can do it in game through the options, but be warned that you will loose all your perks if you do change your name.

Think you also lose squadron affiliation as well.


BTW- nice handle.  I've always found that handles that are either given or used as an homage are the best ones to use.

Read "Lightning Strike" by Donald A. Davis.

These guys argued for forty years about who shot down Yamamoto's plane.

Good story. Lots of controversy.

If you look at his plane and the kill flags it almost looks like he had 4 definite kills and two 3/4 kills, although the two partial flags are not identical.

Nice story, am i correct in thinking there is already a few bigjims in the game now? we used to have one in our squad and i have seen another in the LW arenas then there is you that makes three.
