Again, i think he is asking if it is possible to put the guy in the tower in 1 pass with 50 cals only not piss him off so he towers.

Is it, just read my post.  You have to come straight down on it, aiming your nose straight down at the open turret.  I don't like to do it much in the Lightning as I'd rather use my ammo on another plane rather than waste it on a GV.

I open for training anyone in the LW MA's most every night.  Just ask where my Wirbel is! :D

Well, I have film from last night of my Ki-61 getting a kill on your WW at A229 last night.   Should I post my "training"?   It was only a 1 second trigger pull, maybe 1.5 seconds.   You even went "boom".

Literally dive down straight at it, with your nose pointing at the top of the turret and fire a long, substained burst.  That's been the only way I've been able to score a kill on a flak panzie or Ostie in one pass using the 4x .50s on the Lightning.

Yes but I only use my 20mm against A2A targets, don't waste them on ground targets.

You took my turret, but I will say it does not happen very often.  She is useless with no turret so I bailed and re-upped.  Kudos.  Care to try again?  The Wirbel Gawd dares you... :devil  As I said before, training is available anytime in the LW MA's.  Just ask for my Wirbel!

It is all easy.  i killed +50 flacks just by killing their guns.

You wouldn't have happened to be in a mossie would you? I remember a mossie landing a large ammount of kill, later saying against GV's.

I can turret a wirb/osti in one pass with a 38's guns. I come in at tree-top level though.

Just fly fast, aim for the turret, and fire a good long burst in up close  :aok

turreting one is not a problem at all but making it blow up is.  It can be done with .50s but you have to approach the flak panzie at the angle I described in my previous post.  It goes without saying that it's not one of those 100% guarantee kills as other factors come into play like the flak panzie doing his best to shoot you down but it can be done.  Last time I did it, I kept popping popy's flak panzie at a spawn point and in all the years I've played, it was also the first time I've ever seen popy say anything over channel 200 when he called me a spawn camper.

Did this lastnite at A73. Came straight down on a wirble not paying attention. Fired a burst from my fm2 and poof,Wirble disappeared. I'm guessing  I killed the driver? Rarely do I get that shot before receiving a face full. Also abit harder when their smoking and running around like, headless chickens. The wirble looked perfectly intact, just unaware hehe. :devil

Also Ack- Ack would have to come down to the deck to kill a gv. :D

Crap, you're right.  Did I say in my previous posts that I strafed a flak panzie in a plane?  Must have been really stoned when I wrote that, I meant to say that I know a guy that has a friend that's friends with this girl that knows this guy that knows another guy that strafed a flak panzie in a P-38 and killed it with 4x. .50s., not me.

My apologies for any confusion.
