Last update on the gathering.....

Each and every year we learn by trial and error about what works and what doesn't. The last thing any of us need is for this to be total ciaos. So each year we look to find ways to make this run smoother and easier. From this learning experience, shegotya and I have made some changes to the gathering this year.

Shegotya and I have been doing some work on this because we are coming down to the wire. We are offically 35 days from the gathering and this is the last update on the event. If anyone has any questions plz feel free to PM myself or shegotya.

the prices follow...

CANOES – $35.00 FOR 2 PPL
KAYAK – $20.00 PER PERSON
CAMPING - $10.00 PER PERSON/PER NIGHT

After talking with the guy that owns the campground where the party will be held, we now have new prices for the party. They are as follows.

Camping people - $0.00
People coming JUST for the party - $5.00/person (money goes to the campground owner for allowing us to use the property)

SGY and I are  purchasing bracelets like you would get at an amusement park so that we can keep track of everyone and get a better idea of how many people attended this way also.

After seeing the list of food that everyone is pitching in together, we have decided not to pre order food this year. we will just have one big cook out on the grill. Feel free to do what you prefer to do for dinner if you like. All are welcome to the cook out!!!!  No one is obligated to bring any food but if you would like to "share" something, just post what you would like to bring and shegotya will add it to the list. there is a list of items that we could use if you like to choose something off that list. Everyone pitching in together will help save any out of pocket expenses for us that plan this event and will help make things run smoother. Again if you have any questions/suggestions in regards to this plz let me or SGY know.

SWhavoc:
I'm currently looking into bringing down 2 pony kegs.  The choices would be Molson, Blue Moon, Leinenkugel, Magic Hat, and Great Lakes Brewing Company.  I can also do quarter barrels of Miller Lite, Coors Lite, and high life. Now if we don't want to go the draft route I will donate 20 to 40 cases of assorted beers. Betty now has my company order book.  There are 50 pages of goodness in there.  I will take special request orders if there is anything you find in the book you want.  I do sell sparks, so you can save a ton of money on a case buying it through me and you won't have to transport it. I do sell Four loko which is a 24oz can of flavored 12% alcohol. I have also told Betty I am willing to eat $3 on a case of beer if you chip in on a bag of ice.  I will be taking orders up until July 1st. I need alittle bit of help on trying to figure out what to bring down, weather its keg beer, or bottles and cans.  So any advice would gladly be appreciated.  The keg of rootbeer won't be making it down this year, but I have a nice big bottle of Moonshine for everyone.  I'm gonna be coming down with Real this year, so we are gonna try and make extra room to bring down beer t-shirts, Beer glasses, beer bar mirrors and some other small stuff to raffle off so everyone can win something.

Beer - VonMessa - 2/3 cases, homebrewed, picked up by Digr since Von will be with Iron Maiden instead of us  :rock

All I need is a post listing what you want to bring and how much. Then I'll repost the list with it added so we don't have this quote every other post.

Thanks!!
 :salute

I may double the volume.  That will make it about 1 standard keg's worth.   :aok

This past Sunday was a Porter (thanks for the suggestion, Draggon)

This weekend will be an American Pale Ale.

Damn that smells good !

Fellow Bräumeister Todd wishes you all well and is ecstatic about de-labeling bottles :)

He was so happy to be de-labeling bottles because everyone loves the smell of ammonia at 9AM on Sunday, right? ......

Coffee Porter - <insert drooling smiley>

 :x

Chocolate coffee porter  (lots of chocolate malt, about 20% of the grain bill)

OG was about 1.058 IIRC (I'm at work)  about 5.5-6% ABV   More than Coors Lite but not so bad that you can't drink 3 or 4  :)

We need in infinite supply of laser labels so we can write folk's names/cpids on them. Wish I has a nickel for every time I asked someone "who are you in game" Gives a whole new context when ya can glance at name-tag thingy and put face to cpid. I'll bring somethin from Staples to address that

Good Idea. I was thinking about that last year.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!
