I remember the day I turned 18.

Back then that was the legal drinking age. I walked into a bar to pick up a case of beer for myself and my friends and got asked for ID.
Nothing particularly unusual about that cept when you consider I'd been buying beer there for the better part of 3 years.
The bartender knew that and came in close to me and said "You mean to tell me your just turning 18 today?? you know how much trouble you could have gotten me into?"

I said "You never asked."

He shot me a look then rang me up. As he handed me my change I smiled at him and said "Never trust anyone under 30"

Turns out people from the state were undercover in the bar that night. He had a friend who knew what was going to be going down and was warned ahead of time to card everyone. I've been pretty much been able to grow a full beard since I was 15 and in the darkened light of the bar it was hard to see the patches i was yet missing so he just assumed I was 18.

Ahh memories memories.

I was the second youngest in my graduating class of about 175 with my birthday in August.  At the time the legal drinking age was 18, and after graduation everyone in our class went to the bar except me and the only other kid younger than me because we were both still 17.   :(

Not to worry, we met up with everyone at the kegger later on.   :cheers:

Now he really sad part.  Just before I turned 18 they changed the legal drinking age to 21.   :furious

On the plus side I was 1A #78 or something for the draft and they ended the draft just before I was called.   :aok

Our state you couldn't go till you were 21 (served booze) I'll always remember that night forever, My buds got me freaking hammered and well cant tell the rest lol , oh such fond memories hehe

Thats the same thing i done when  i hit 18. Dont remember the whole night. Wont say why but, i had a good time :) At least i had a good time that i remember. Just hit 33 the other week. Getting old now. woot

All i remember was 12 30 packs of Natural Light, about 50 friends, a fire 10 feet tall, and a bunch of green stuff that people were rolling with little white paper slips. :cheers: :banana: :rock :O :devil
