Sunday I posted my first mission since Mindnao was in regular rotation. That was the infamous B-17's launching from the hangers mission in which almost everyone crashed on take-off.
I've always kind of wanted to start a Spit specialty squad and after watching some Spit videos here on the BBs I was even more inclined to see a lot of Spits flying together.
On Sunday I launched a mission with 30 spots open for Spit IX's. Full fuel, drop tanks, no ord to fly a fighter sweep of a Bish base that had been under heavy Rook attack for quite a while. We took off with 26-28 Spit IX's. What a sight to behlod.
While the original plan was to clear our base then go kill guys upping at the next Rook base over, someone spotted a CV off-shore and the plan got diverted. the base was largely cleared, the CV went down to Spit IX straffing runs, and I don't think we took a single loss.
Some might call this hoarding but well, it was kind of fun. I might do it again.
