Tighter controls?
« on: April 13, 2010, 02:22:23 AM »
Has anyone else noticed since the patches that controls seem a bit more touchy? Haven't changed any of my settings but I've been snapping a lot today. Maybe just an off-day, but wondered if anyone else was experiencing this as well.
Taking an enemy on the battlefield is like a hawk taking a bird. Even though it enters into the midst of a thousand of them, it gives no attention to any bird than the one it first marked.

I feel that I have been stalling a lot more.

Could be ham handedness on my part.  Witnessed an enemy Ki-84 go into a flat spin at 5k altitude and spin into the ground.  Haven't seen that too often.

Yep, i thought it was because i switched sticks, but i had to go in and callibrate (still workin on it) the dead band on my stick, never had to really worry about it before.

My issue is that it tends to "snap" as soon as i roll, vehicles dont seem to have changed a bit. :joystick:

I had the same feeling, I even checked if scaling had been disabled inadvertently.
But I'm still blaming my current lack of flying time for that.

I also found myself calibrating just to be sure...  Maybe just a little loose in the corners...

Forgot who said this while trying to take a base, but the quote goes like this. "I cant help you with ack, Im not in attack mode" This is with only 2 ack up in the town while troops were there, waiting. The rest of the town was down.

I was on a roll the other night in JUGS, not sure if it was change in controls or just luck.  If it's the quicker controls causing me to fly better, than I really hope HTC leaves them alone.  :joystick:

Yes something has changed just a tad.  The other day I had several fights in my A6M5-B and 2 of 3 times we got slow and it stalled really bad and flop into the water.   I've never had it stall out so much before.  My guess would have to be something to do with the elevator when the tail was changed for the improved damage model.   It feels like it's giving more deflection when I pull back than it used to and over I go.

The only problem I found after one of the updates (patch 4) was the dive speed bug with the P-38s.  Other than that, the P-38 handled just as she always did.

I took part in one of the "whole arena discos" on the second combat challenge. When I came back in I had lost some, not all, of
my mapping on my CH stick and I needed to recalibrate. Never had that happen before. I also had to go look up my password
because somehow that box got unchecked. Weird                  :headscratch:
