Why no hat switch?

When I view my films, my hat switch for views doesn't work. Am I doing something wrong or is that the way things are?

in the viewer you can only use the numpad, i was confused when i first started using it too. <S>

Yeah, it's too bad too.  The film viewer just uses the game engine to render the data as a viewable film, so doesn't have access to the UI to allow for input device mapping.  I'm waiting for the day when it can utilize my TrackIR gear.  Until then, I'm stuck using Fraps to record in-cockpit head movements while in-game, to mix later with film viewer external shot setups.
