What size does a picture have to be in order to put it on my forums account?? Can't seem to get anything pic to work

That's wierd, I sized it down 80X80 and for some reason it says that the avatar is too huge? That's thing only thing that I'm loading though and it should load

80x80 and the file size has to be under 25-30kb Save it as a jpeg or gif NAT and bmp

make sure it is either jpg  or gif file type and most of the larger ones should be under the 28.0 KB size limit

( like my Avatar is 20.9 KB file size, 80x80 pixels picture resolution)

most that you see are in the 4 KB to 12 KB range some smaller some larger



as for squad noseart  ( for ingame ) you have to have them at 64 x64 pixels  and 5.05 KB file size in bmp file format )

hope this helps

edit: maybe it is 30KB max file size........ like Fugitive posted, something was telling me it was 28KB from memory, I might be wrong.... I did not know you could use BMP though for the Avatars on the BBS.... learn something new everyday  :aok

I think he meant NOT a bmp but I'm not entirely sure about that.

Maybe save it as 256 colors. Save it to "photobucket" and post a link here and one of us can maybe tweak it for you.
