Better SEO would not hurt at all. Especially within savvy high tech geniuses at HTC, this could be easily accomplished. That and the European market, btw. A little PR with game sites, magazines, blogs... All may be actions without money involved. Of course, results will be smaller.

I remember that I got hooked when I saw Computer Gaming World's cover for Confirmed Kill. I still keep that issue. I didn't had a computer then. Then CK became WB and I got a computer and internet access... by dial-up....  :D

Now, it's the few magazines, the gaming websites, the blogs, facebook, that improve your search results, all combined. One article here, one article there, a few well chosen keywords, a tag here and there, a link here and there...

When searching by "World War II combat flight sim" AH comes in #2. If you widen it to "combat flight sim" all 1st page is Microsoft´s. A small difference produces very different results... How often do you search deeper than the first page of search results? And it's the same with "combat flight game"...

We all should try to promote AH in our town, maybe in LAN meetings, where young gamers get togheter. If we managed to recruit 2 out of 100 would be awesome... We could try the armed forces recruitment approach, lol, "Young man, you look like you could become an Ace! Let me tell you how..."

Cheers

And even that is out dated (and I have never seen six countries)...

Simulate World War II in the online game, "Aces High." You'll play one of 50 planes from a choice of six countries with "Aces High." Offline and 8 player head-to-head is always free in "Aces High." Other options require you to pay a monthly fee./quote]
Amazing you could actually recruit that much suck into one squad.

I believe they are referring to UK, Germany, US, USSR, Italy and Japan... not the chess-piece "nations"...  :D

That issue hangs on my wall.

Funny story about that cover. When I was creating CK I was working for a different company in my other life as an EE, and creating CK at night. Was in the break room when I heard 2 guys talking about this game CK in the magazine.  Was fun walking over to them and asking them if they would like to see it at my desk.

No Offense, HT,

I would rather u not have 10000 people, your servers barely handle TT adaquelty. Other then that. My friend turned me on to this game, when he was falling asleep at work. i asked what u have a hard night? He just replied that he was playing this addictive thing. Been here since then.
Forgot who said this while trying to take a base, but the quote goes like this. "I cant help you with ack, Im not in attack mode" This is with only 2 ack up in the town while troops were there, waiting. The rest of the town was down.

The servers have absolutely no issues running Titanic Tuesday.  None.  The CPU's are barely breaking 2% utilization.

Don't worry about ignorance... There is nothing you can do about it.

Never, not once, does the op realize it is his computer that can't handle Titanic Tuesday.  (I upgraded last year and haven't had a single issue on Tuesday's since)

Offense taken.

No....I'd really like to make millions of dollars.  If you have 10,000 friends looking for a flight sim, please send them our way.  ;)

Why do some think they know more about what HTC servers can or can't do, then HiTech himself?  :headscratch:

I really don't mind the relative difficulty in finding AH.  At least then you have an outside chance
of finding someone who really enjoys the subject matter rather than the latest gamer fad.
