Events site update
« on: April 23, 2010, 05:42:21 PM »
Gents,

forHIM will be updating our AHEvents site soon. Joomla 1.0 to 1.5. He wants to start this as soon as possible. The date is being discussed on the CM forum. What that possibly means for FSO is we will have to use the forums for some communications in May. We may have to ask you all to update your squads and make your sides request this weekend and then close it on Monday or Tuesday. CM's can grab Axis and Allied e-mail address and send them out as needed to the CiC's in May.

I will open things up later tonight for everyone to post their updates this weekend.

Please keep your eyes on the forum during that time. I will not be able to e-mail squads with a click of a button as the events site tools will be down. Same would go for the Admin CM in May.

Will keep you all posted.

Get your squads updated gents.
Clock is ticking. Have heard from about 1/4 of the squads. You guys will need to get it done in the next 2 or 3 days. Sorry for the short window.

Nothing has or will change for II/JG-27 in the near future...do we need to bother with the update anyway?

I would since the aircraft are different each month.

For me personally when I am a CiC I look at the squads ride requests. For example if we are in the Pacific that month and a squad has left their requests for Spitfires up from a previous month I figured they must not really care what they get.

If your numbers are the same then of course just leave that as it. Or if you don't care what AC you get then just put 'any' for each frame. That always makes it easy on the CiC's. :)

I definitely use this technique when I do side assignments as an admin, and when I look at ride requests as a CIC.
