Mac bootcamp question
« on: May 01, 2010, 09:38:29 AM »
Hi fellas I'm finally trying to come back to the game after two long years away.  Setting it up on my Mac though.  In the initial steps of setting up bootcamp you are supposed to set up a partition size...does anyone know how big the partition should be for Windows/AH2 etc.?  Also, should I install the NTFS or FAT format?  Thanks!

Required partition size depends greatly on the OS you plan to install. For XP and AH + couple other games, 30 gb is enough. For Vista/7 even 40gb is going to fill up very fast so I'd make it 60. You can try to make vista/7 smaller by disabling volume shadow copy, system restore, deleting backup system files after updates etc. but it's far easyer just to reserve enough space to start with.

I'd format the partition using NTFS.

Thanks fellas.  I partitioned 32 GB, installed XP home edition with NTFS format and the game works great!

Glad it works.  Been using my iMac with AH for 4 years now.
