Shot down penalty

I think that after every time you are shot down your plane can ONLY respawn 2 full sectors away from where you were killed.  This would stop the instant bail and reup tactic of base defense, along with imposing a penalty for getting shot down other than "score" considerations.

That would encourage avoiding fights and it would also enable milk running.

Really?  So you're saying that I only get one chance to try to defend a base.  I get shot down for whatever reason, and I'm carted off somewhere totally out of the fight.  So we get a handful guys to try to defend a base against whatever base-rolling horde happens to come by, and after we die they get the base totally unopposed.  No thanks.  You must be one of those horde boyz that like taking undefended bases, to come up with this kind of suggestion.

How about if we just add enough restrictions that everyone just stops playing? Would it be worth it to stop all the whining?

c'mon now im sure when he came up with this idea it was simply to dicourage HO's or rams. he probably just wanted some sort of way to cause people to fly a little less wrecklesly.


but yeah there are alot of timid people as there is, imagine how much worse it would be if people were further penalized for there style of fighting...it would be running an picking all day long
