boxboy could u please add to the reason and wanting to stop people from upping?

semp

Sure, the way it is now if I shoot down a guy and then take on his "wingman" chances are that the "dead" guy has reupped and is back in the fight before I can dispatch his buddie or I am so low on ammo that I am now "out of the fight" and unable to disengage due to the reups.

As for horde rolling bases, who is kidding who, those guys WILL take the base with enough numbers and we all know it.

As for "fly what you want the way that you want" I would point out Perks and Arena Caps both of which impinge on that statement but are necessary for game balance.
Being dead IRL meant NO reups  :rofl all I am saying is you are out the fight for bit.

So, you don't know when to leave and want HTC to change the game so you can stick around past the time you should leave?

And, this is a game, not real life or a simulation of real life.  We all get shiny new planes (even you).  Get over it.

I can understand that, having to fite a never ending line of 2 people that just keep on upping and u have killed several times.  however remember this, late at nite there's not that many people.  the other day me and a couple of guys were attacking this field, we had no intention of taking it, we just wanted to furball, and there was about 5 uppers, now we would kill  2 or 3 then they would re up help the last 2 fiting and it was a never ending fite.  we would end up ded then they would come to our field and start all over, we played like that for way over 1 hour, it was fun.  imagine if the first time we killed them and they would have to up 2 sectors back, that would've been the end of the fite in less than 5 minutes.  that would've really sucked.  I understand getting a couple of kills running out of ammo and know that u cant rtb, but that's the fun of the game, sometimes, you fite to the death.  :airplane: :joystick:.

Lol sorry that might have been harsh.  Maybe worst idea of the month :)  The reason is, while it might solve a minor problem in which you described, it would create about 10 more problems 10 times more important and impactful than the one it fixed.

Come on ImADot obviously you don't recognize my BBS name cause you and I have fought many times in the sky and you know I don't run unless I am waaaay out numbered or am at a trememdous disadvantage.  You also know that knowing when to leave and being able to are two different things so whats with the "holier than thou" crap?

Well I guess it is in how you view the indeavor, game or simulation.  If game then you are probably right, if simulation then I am probably right.

Hitech says its a game, so from that stand point I guess you would be right but because I have flown these things so long and in the beginning they were referred to as sim's I tend to be from the "old school" and still view them as somewhat of a simulation.

LOL you seem to think "good SA" will save you in every instance? which means of course that since your SA is so good you never get shot down :rofl  Rubbish, I have seen situations with no dar that I have attacked 1 con that upon being committed turns out to be 6 cons who didn't show up till I was closer and BTW so have you.  Clique's aside what else do you have to offer :O

Not "holier than thou crap".  Just responding to a thread that was started seemingly in the heat of the moment without much real thought behind it.  We all get frustrated when someone brings 50 bombs to take out a gv, then keeps coming with them.  To me that's not a fight, and the fight is what this game is all about - or more accurately, as Hitech himself said, "It's about pissing off the other guy".

Your idea, while solving the immediate problem with bomb-n-bailers, does nothing but remove all chances of any good fights.

Well I guess it is "all in the eye of the beholder" to me a good fight is one in which I don't have to give the other guy all the advantage just to get a fight.  It seems like lately all guys do is hover around their base and wait for the cons to come to them, never leaving the security blanket of their ack or chance to immediately reup and get the "easy" kill on the guy who is out of ammo, damaged from fighting, or engaged with other defenders.

my idea was just to try and make a "fair fight", maybe a 1 minute delay before relaunching from the base you just got shot down from would be better?  That way you could move or wait it out and maybe 1 minute is too long???

I think my SA is good enough to know when to disengage or to not engage in the first place   A lesson you
seemingly have yet to learn, ace.  Dar bars, location of friendly and enemy bases, even terrain can make a
difference.  Of course, it's easier to ask the powers that be to change the game first, huh?

Sometimes just having a fun fight is enough.  I get shot down all the time, the difference between us is that
I don't consider it worth a whine on the BBS.

I get where your coming from Boxboy, but cant support this one mate, its easy to get dragged close to the opposing base, but thats purely as a result of our own decisions (no slam or dig intended).

Know what its like to get gradually worn down, ammo'd out etc........but its our decisions that make it either an escape with kills, or stay till you die (thats generally me lol......never did learn fast)

:salute
