i did

the reason 200mhz fsb is so bad on the cpu is the a7m266 mobo runs in synchronous mode only. so the 266mhz pc2100 memory also only runs at 200mhz.

its FUBAR!

just discovered some more nice stuff about this machine. the power supply is a generic 300 watt POS.

heres another quote...

"does this computer come with an Enlight amd aproved power supply?

yes

cool do you use enlight in all your stuff? place where I live does the same thing, best power supplies made for sure

yes exactly"

what are these people thinking?

that no one ever opens up their pc and looks inside?

Well bud, time to get a Layer isn't it ?

I am not sure how it goes on the other side of the pond, but I am sure that here, you have to sell what you advertised for, or are subject to legal actions...

The 15/25% they're asking is a disgrace, It's not a matter that you changed your mind about the article you bought, the article you bought is simply NOT what you asked for in the 1st place.

Sue (sp?) their arse !

(anyone remember the 50 pound Sony TV's at 'Argos' in UK ? heh...)

Dunno how it's handled in the states but as you did not recieve what was ordered the answer is quick : say to your bank that you didn't recieved the correct parts and they will kick their a** asap (provided it's an order with credit card).

It's a standard feature here ...

In france I would do :
Go to the local customer association ...
Ask for an "assignation en référé" (no lawer no cost and judgement in the 2 hours)

I hope you will solve your problem quickly ...

I over reacted on the CPU

it is indeed 266mhz fsb not 200
if i understand right external clock speed of 133mhz is what should be reading?

200mhz fsb would read 100mhz external clock speed yes?

im still pissed about vid card, power supply and motherboard though

Did you pay with your credit card? If so, call them up and say that you want to cancel the payment because you did not received the goods you actually paid for (them sending you a computer instead of thecomputer you wanted) In the UK it's the credit card company's responsibility to act as a buffer between customer and supplier, ie if you received not at all what you ordered, they'll simply charge it back to your supplier and then it's the supplier's problem to get payment/goods back.

Having orders in writing confirming the configuration helps too... I suspect the bastards are counting on the fact that most of the population is totally computer-stupid and wouldn't even dare opening the box leave alone knowing the difference between a7m266 and a7v266...

Cit A7M266 is still one of the best mobos for Athlon and I'm more than pleased for my A7M266.
Actually it costs more than A7V266 in shop I'm using.

I called them just a bit ago.
they agreed to replace the mother board with an a7v266

and they agreed to refund the price of the video card they gave me (their price for ddr 64 g2 ultra is to high) so im buying gf3 on my own and using my gf2 mx400 64 till i get it.
