Wanted To Buy - MS 3D Pro (Old Version)
« on: March 22, 2000, 06:38:00 AM »
Hi...

I am very used to the old Microsoft 3D Pro joystick.  This was the very first one they came out with.  It is shorter and stubbier than the MS 3D Precision Pro which was their second effort and should not be confused with what I'm looking for.  This first version is of course no longer available for purchase and has been discontinued.

I really like this stick (no lectures please)and I would like to obtain a back-up as my current one seems to be getting wonky.  Does anyone have one laying around they would like to donate to an old warrior or perhaps sell reasonably?

By the way, I live in Toronto, Canada, but travel to Phoenix AZ regularly on business.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Badger

As an avid MS Pro user....if you get the MS Precision Pro, or the Force Feed Stick...you will toss the old one in front of a speeding train.  There is "NO" comparison.
The newer stick...IMO, cannot be compared.
It's better than the best.  It programs all the buttons offline, to fit the sim, and makes life so much more easy!  Make a step up....I have the "Old" FF stick, and I still love it. (after 2+ years)

I don't know what I will ever do if I my 3d pro ever breaks.  I looked at the Precision Pro when I bought this and really don't like the button layout.  Just wish it had the shift key on the base for the extra buttons.  I normally don't use the profiler software and just set the stick up in the game when possible.  Like here I have remapped about everything

Badger.. e-mail me an address and I can get you a 3d-pro joystick.

My new pc was having problems with the game port and would not recognize the stick.  I ended up going with a USB joystick and have been flying like crap ever since.  I truly miss the Sidewinder 3d Pro

Anyways.. I now have a 3d-pro in good condition laying around the house.  It needs a good home.  Any flight-sim enthusiast is a prefered recipient
