I found this Japanese site on the 244TH Sentai even with the broken up Google translator it seems even the Japanese seem to take issue with the Clover paint job. Strange though they don't mention Katabami as a possible option

It has some good profiles on this site as well as some very good photos of aircraft & pilots & even visiting family members at the airfield.
