Yes, it was only about 25-30 ft away, and our power was down for a fraction of a second. Our old plamsa TV (from like the 90's) had a green tint to the screen for the rest of the day. So I think that may have been what happened. Would a reset help, you think?

You definately got hit with, what amounts to, an EM pulse from the strike.  You can try resetting the electronics, but do not be surprised if some of the electronics are permanently fried.

Alright, can do. It was an old router, Dlink N. about 2 years old. If I have to replace it, the signal is good, but should I get another 'N' or an 'extreme n?'

I am the last one to ask about consumer grade routers.  There is not one on the market which will meet my criteria, so I built my own.

I did the full restart and I have the same connectivity porblems as before.
DIAGNOSTICS: Wireless connection 2 status. (the Connection that is working).
IPv4 Connectivity: Internet
IPv6 Connectivity: Limited
Media State: Enabled
Speed 270.00 MBs
Signal quality: Excellent

For the connection that won't work. It won't even pull up this window. It goes straight to the window that contains the tabs "Connection" and "Security" So I don't know any information about the connection.

If you are on a wireless connection, have you tried connecting directly to the router/modem and see what the results are?

No, it isn't possible to connect directly to the modem unless we got a cable and drilled a bunch of holes in the walls.

Well, it is very possible the wireless connection is the entire problem.  Wireless will be effected by many things outside the control of anyone.

But I find it very odd that throughout the life of my router the only problems I ever had only took a 10 second reset to fix. I shut down the Dlink router last night as well as my computer, fired it up this morning and still experiencing the problem. Guess I'll call RR and see if it is anything on their end. what does the Pingplotter show anyway? Where is packet loss at? My router?

Basicaly, Ping Plotter will show a graphical representation of each hop (router) that your data takes as it makes it way to the game servers.  It will not show the return trip from the servers, but I can do that for you.

Packet loss and various timings (latencies) are shown as well.
