Well... It was a good run, gents. Defense was too relaxed at the beginning of extra time. Better luck some other time, guys <S>.

I think overall the USA had the majority of the play but they couldn't convert it into goals.

Lack of concentration and failure to make a tackle led up to Ghana scoring.

I really enjoyed watching the US in the WC, Ive enjoyed several other games too. I think Im gonna pick me out a Premier or Champions League team to latch onto and watch. Its easier to enjoy when I have a dog in the fight. Any suggestions Brits? I like a good underdog with a fighting chance, dont like rooting for the favorite, unless theres cash involved.

Chelsea's out, local sports team owner here also is part owner there, he's losing his arse and sraggin our baseball and hockey team with him. Ill check em out, The reason for those 2 leagues is that those will be televised here from what I've heard so I can watch them.

Hopefully now USA can put some capital into youth development and schools for the club level so kids 12+ can be discovered and be professionals early on.  We need to close the gap at the youth level and turn out world class players before the age of 20.  Between the ages of 8-12, these kids have to be identified.

By then I hope that the MLS (get rid of that name) can pay these players a decent salary to keep youth interested in the sport.

Man I wish i had $500 million laying around.....

West Ham will break you heart weekly and yet you'll stand by them through thin and thin while the bigger clubs pick and pick at the English talent they discover and nurture.

Look at the England squad for this World Cup;
Green (West Ham)
James  (Ex West Ham)
Terry  (Ex West Ham yth)
Upson (West Ham)
Johnson  (Ex West Ham yth)
Carrick (Ex West Ham yth)
J Cole  (Ex West Ham yth)
Lampard  (Ex West Ham yth)
Defoe  (Ex West Ham yth)

Which means a quarter of the current England side were products of the WHUFC Acadamy.

And if that doesn't convince you, Kate Perry should;

She kissed a girl and she LIKED it!
