Fun time Sat night
« on: July 11, 2010, 10:53:54 AM »
I know the headcount got up to 27 at one point (might have been higher).

About the only issue I had was the puffy ack lethality from the CV's in contrast to the weak auto ack from the fleet. The combination made it tough if the "defenders" hung in there own puffies. I ended up flying allies based on the numbers breakdown so started in the P-40 and moved to the P-39. 39 absolutely rocks in that setup, easily the dominant plane in the set but it does require a bit of discipline since its got no chance if it gets sucked into a turning fight. That invariably led to a few HO/face-shot comments which while accurate (at least specific to me) weren't to be unexpected given the normal zeke tactics.

Basically all I saw was either a swoop to a loop or a dive to deck and hidden E pop up. One thing about the no icon setup is it really shows why historical tactics evolved as they did. I'm sorry but if you point your zeke at me and then look to make a vertical lead turn to fall back on me then yes I'm going to try and pop you in the nose and then select zone 5 and buzz on out of dodge

Did you get accused of cheating when you kept spelling ho, vulch and noe?

Jg77 had fun on there second annual ava squad night.  We are a luft squad so IJN planes are not our favorite but still was a blast.  I think we will start making at least 2 ava squad nights a month now.Maybe we can get more axis and allied squad to come in and fight traditional plane sets vs the same.

Till next time +S+

A fun  Saturday,

Logged online to find quite a few guys,  20+   up to 30.    Led a raid on 1  V base to close/capture,    brought CVs  for a blockage from enemy field to protect friendly field (and possible close enemy airfield).    Then led  another raid to another V base,  and responded to  enemy cv threats  by sinking their boats.

3 LCA pilots and other allied fighters <S>

Way to go.

p.s.    The month of August will have the  Saturday afternoon scenarios 2pm  until  6pm (or more).   Your bi-weekly attendance will be perfect.   Unless you want to have it every Saturday night to build consistency  (or just have 2 saturday nights off to be able to go out at night  :)...   Fine with me
